People need services they can rely on, freedom over their own lives and a way to shape shared decisions. SOS Systems connects intelligence, funding, work and learning so communities can meet those needs and sustain the people and places they depend on.
Sovereignty begins with a person: space of your own, privacy, freedom to choose and a voice in decisions that affect you. The founding direction also includes basic needs and physical and mental protection. These belong in the foundation of the system, independent of a contribution score.
Here, DAO means Decentralized Autonomous Organism. Each organ serves a different need and supports the others. SOS Systems names the whole and supplies its governance: how people coordinate, recognise contributions and decide what to build next.
Progress towards prosperity for all means needs met, care sustained, ecological responsibilities kept and power open to challenge. Assessments must include the people least well served and those bearing costs elsewhere. Otto can help examine evidence; affected people need independent review and a route to challenge the judgment. The measures and review process remain design work.
Expansion should be delayed when it would deepen essential-service shortfalls, unfunded care or ecological harm. A proposal should state what must be repaired or funded, who reviews the decision and what evidence would allow work to resume. These responsibilities belong in the design before new commitments are made.
SOS means Sovereign Operating System, an answer to the distress signal “save our souls.” The 505 is a metaphor for a version of civilization that no longer supports the people inside it. The work is to build a version that does.
