What the Creator Keeps

Meme communities generate the value. The old mechanics take it. Koink.fun is being built to change the default.

Every meme community generates value. The community does the work — the jokes, the lore, the onboarding, the energy that turns a token into a movement. Then the mechanics kick in. The snipers have already taken the best price. The team has already allocated the best supply. The platform takes a percentage of everything. By the time the community realizes what was built, most of the value has already moved somewhere else.

This is not an accident. It is the default architecture of how meme tokens launch.

Koink.fun is being built to change the default.

What the Old Model Does

Most meme launchpads are extraction infrastructure with a community layer on top. The platform sets the rules. The team controls the allocation. Insider wallets get first access. Bots front-run the launch. The community buys after all of this has already happened — and if the mechanics were always going to favor extraction, the community was always going to hold the bag.

The creators who built the energy that made the token worth something get: a percentage of whatever the platform decides to give them, no governance over what happens next, and a set of mechanics they cannot audit and did not choose.

Koink.fun starts from the opposite direction.

What Gets Built Instead

Koink.fun is a meme launchpad built around the $KOINK Standard — an open tokenomics protocol, currently in development, that will be deployable on any chain that can run the contracts.

The mechanics being built into every $KOINK Standard launch:

Fair launch by design. The launch engine uses on-chain randomness to assign each wallet a launch slot. No sniper can predict the first block. No insider gets an earlier window. Every participant enters on the same terms — enforced at the contract level, not just promised in the marketing.

Anti-whale mechanics. Hard wallet caps during the launch period prevent any single holder from accumulating a controlling position. The community cannot be captured by someone who bought faster. Capital can buy tokens. It cannot buy governance. Multi-wallet splitting is the obvious attack vector — the architecture pairs hard caps with on-chain wallet verification to close that gap.

Conviction rewarded, not punished. The Diamond Hands Multiplier grows over twelve months, giving long-term holders increasing governance weight. Holding for a year earns up to 3x multiplier. The mechanics move in the direction of the people who stayed.

A community treasury that belongs to the community. Twenty percent of sell taxes (a percentage fee charged on token sells) flow into a treasury governed by the community — not the team, not the platform. What gets built with that treasury is decided by the people who built the community that created the value.

None of these mechanics are deployed yet. The contracts — KoinkToken, the launch registrar, the community vault — are in active development, with Base as the genesis chain and chain-agnostic expansion planned from there.

The Standard Spreads

The $KOINK Standard is not locked to Koink.fun.

It will be open source from day one. Any project, on any supported chain, can fork the standard, configure their token, and launch with the same fair mechanics. A compliant deployment on a chain Koink.fun has not yet reached expands the footprint. The network effect runs in the right direction: the more $KOINK Standard launches exist, the harder it is for the old mechanics to remain the default.

This is the chain-agnostic mission stated plainly: wherever a contract can run, the standard can run. Wherever the standard runs, a community can launch without the extraction baked in.

The Meme Is Still the Point

None of this architecture matters without the energy that brings people to the platform.

Koink.fun is built around PiPi — the pink pig who came back from the dead, stutters at exactly the right moments, and understands something about meme culture that most of the industry has missed: the meme is not decoration. The meme is the mechanism for bringing people together before they have anything else to build around. (The full story of how PiPi works as Koink's cultural engine is in The Meme Is the Trojan Horse.)

The chaos is real. The irreverence is real. The platform is deliberately unserious in exactly the way that draws communities in.

Underneath that, the architecture is different.

Every community built on Koink.fun launches with mechanics that keep the value inside the community. Every laugh is a brick. Every holder who stayed is a governance participant. Every sell tax feeds a treasury that the community governs.

The creator keeps what the creator builds.
